《奇幻森林》是《丛林之书》最为成功的改编，对原着的尊崇与CG特效的完美结合，令电影将吉卜林这位文学巨匠昔日天马行空的笔触在光影世界中得以真切的呈现，而那极为逼真的丛林和拟人化的动物，奉献出了一个让人惊叹的动物世界。

原着《丛林之书》的剧情设定成为了电影的脉络，其故事讲述了被狼群养大的男孩毛克利，却被受过人类伤害的老虎所憎恨并要杀掉他，为了逃脱，毛克利与曾救了自已的导师黑豹巴希拉和偶遇相识的棕熊巴鲁在丛林中踏上了冒险旅程，而最终毛克利勇敢面对自我并完成了复仇的回归，融入到森林家园，勇敢面对困境认清自我的激励和人与自然和谐共生的夙愿成为了电影寄予的内在纵深，而在改编上电影整体风格摒弃了原着中的暗黑化，迪士尼惯以明快的基色贯穿始终。

《奇幻森林》最为侧目的并不是饰演男孩毛克利，初出茅庐的小男星尼尔·塞西，而是那群用CG特效制作出的动物们，毫不夸张的说《奇幻森林》是电影工业发展的又一里程牌之作，电影中的动物不仅在毛发细节上已经做到了以假乱真，毫无差别，动物们的面部表情精准反映出不同的情绪，更是极具真实，以此我们看到了险恶凶狠的老虎反派，也见证了帅气勇敢的黑豹，还有那乐天派棕熊的憨直呆萌等等，动物们行色各异让人忍俊不禁且给人思考的“演技”，已然喧宾夺主的占据了本自男主毛克利的主角光环。

假若用《疯狂动物城》来对比《奇幻森林》，那么显然后者会是一部稍逊风骚的作品，对于原着的尊崇，根据76版的翻拍，电影虽然呈现出了一个带有奇幻色彩的森林世界，却也有着一定的桎梏，毕竟《丛林之书》的故事距今以有百年之久，电影近乎不可能在一个原始森林中玩出似如《疯狂动物城》里那步步为营，处处是梗的高能寓意，所以对《奇幻森林》来说它是一部带有传统迪士尼韵味的作品，其所呈现的更是一颗纯粹的童心，令观众跟随男孩毛克利一同走进那奇妙梦幻的动物世界。

如你曾偶有读过《丛林之书》，你定然会发现这就是那个书中的世界，《奇幻森林》就是这样一个令人走进自然，纯粹而温馨的童话，
