極地特快：

Rarely does a movie let you forget who you are and become the main character. This is one of those rare movies.

The movie starts out with a story that every Santa believer experienced. On Christmas eve a boy in Grand Rapids Michigan has reached the age where the statistical impossibility in the Santa story ( the size and speed of Santa's sleigh, the north pole being a barren wasteland) are causing him to doubt the big mans existence. Not knowing for sure the boy drifts into a deep sleep. At 11:55 PM the boy is awakened by the arrival of the Polar Express literally outside his front door. Going to investigate what is going on the boy meets the witty conctor of the Christmas eve train. (Tom Hanks)who informs him that the train is headed to the north pole so the kids can meet Santa Clause. Not totally sure that the train is going to the north pole but to curious to let it go the boy climbs on board. The adventure puts the boy in contact with a girl who is a natural born leader and who's belief in the Christmas magic couldn't be stronger. Other characters include a know it all socially awkward boy, a young underprivileged loner who has never experienced the magic of Christmas and a cast of other more mysterious characters such a a hobo ghost. Through the adventure the combination of great music, flawless animation and fantastic dialog really make you believe you are there and let you relive those days when you thought Santa Clause just might exist. The story ends on Christmas day with a line (narrated by Tom Hanks) about belief that brings back those kid on Christmas eve chills all over again. The themes of belief and friendship are a strong theme in the movie and part of the magic that brings you back to a time when you did believe.Its a great movie for children and alts alike and rekindles the Christmas magic that us alts lost many years ago.

Charlie is a young and struggling Los Angeles businessman who sells expensive cars for a living. One day he receives word that his father, a man with whom he had not spoken in years, had died back in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charlie returns to his childhood home to take care of his father's property, only to find out that virtually all of his dad's $3,000,000 estate was left to an unnamed person in a 'trust' (A legal document giving property to another person).

After doing some investigating, Charlie learns that the trust was for a person who lived in a home for the mentally disabled near his childhood house. While exploring this institution with his girlfriend, Susanna, Charlie makes a nearly unbelievable discovery: The person to whom the trust was given is an autistic man named Raymond Babbitt, who it turns out is Charlie's older brother. Charley had never known he had a brother, for his parents had never told him.
In his confusion, anger and greed, Charlie decides to take Raymond back with him. Raymond is probably not prepared to leave the Ohio institution he has lived in his entire life, but Charlie is determined to get what he thinks is his "fair share" of his father's estate. Thus, Charlie decides to fight for legal custody (possession) of his new brother, as a way of being able to get to the $3,000,000 that his father had left for Raymond.

In their journey back to Los Angeles, Raymond nearly drives Charlie crazy with the maddening characteristics that are a function of his autism (see note below). But eventually, Raymond has a profound influence on Charlie, and thus Charlie eventually grows to love and accept his brother exactly as he is.

A note on autism: People who are autistic are believed to suffer from an abnormal psychological state in which they have a severely limited understanding of reality. Perhaps more importantly, it is believed they have little understanding of their own emotions, or the emotions of other people.
There is a wide range of autism that exists. Some people are so autistic they can almost do nothing for themselves, and are completely dependent on others for their everyday needs.

There are other autistics who are considered "high functioning," and thus are able to do much on their own, although they may still be better off living in institutions that care for the mentally disabled. Still other autistics are what are called "idiot savants," in that they have the ordinary limitations of most autistics, but they also have special mental skills that are reflective of pure genius. For example, in the case of Raymond, he appears to have both the memory and basic math abilities of a computer, not a person.
Over the last several years (perhaps in part because of this movie), a growing body of literature on the experience of autism has emerged that you may want to explore. Much of this material is available on the web.

Though it is a little bit incredible ,it is a good life story .For I am a optimistic person, I like a story with happy ending .

Annie and Hallie are the most successful actresses in this film .i viewed that they are real twins at the beginning until others told me that they was acted by the same person .she is so lovely and well done on performing two different characters. One is a gentle girl with good ecation but lives without father ,another is a spicy girl ,crude and always comes up with strange ideas .both of them are excellent ,however I still prefer they are two ,for that will be more perfect I admire her for her skillful act as a little girl, you know not everyone could do that.

Although Elizabeth and Nick are the main actress and actor in the film ,they perform less ,but no doubt excellent .compare to them ,i think Martin and Chessy is a funny pair .at the beginning Martin gave me an impression as a gentleman ,a good butler always in uniform ,especially when he dance with Hallie .until Elizabeth want to visit Nick in Napa valley, California , he was in a dress like a viking ,that really surprise us and made everyone laughing .when he first saw Chessy who is the housemaid of Nick .same temper and character hold them together ,they even forgot their host .it seems according to someone's saying --love arrange everything.

A good film constructed buy many factors ,but the most attractive part is the characters, for it could easily gave people deep impression but not the sets or any thing else .

Tears of the Sun is an intense, emotional movie that relates to
important international issues today. One of the things I liked about
it was that it made me think deeply about how much easier it is to
focus on taking care of the smaller details in life rather than to face
the hard decisions about the bigger picture. Kudos to the screenwriters
for that. Director Antoine Fuqua took us on a breathtaking journey into
the heart of the violent world of his film's characters and kept me on
the edge of my seat with the tension. Performances by the entire cast
were superb, each character's indiviality sharply defined. The
haunting music pulled me in at the beginning and left me feeling
inspired at the end.
