全片最高潮的地方，竟然安排在了影片的結尾。那種讓人意猶未盡的感覺非常強烈。在最後結尾處，威廉姆·華萊士英勇就義，全城人民都不忍他繼續被劊子手摺磨而幫他求情，甚至劊子手都希望他說一句求饒的話。而他用盡全身力氣，高喊了一個單詞：「FREEDOM!!!!!!」
