Pride and Prejudice is a famous classic written by Jane Austen. I was attracted by the characters and plots of the film adapted from the novel.
Elizabeth is the heroine of the story. When she meets Darcy, a handsome, rich but arrogant man, on the party for the first time, she is dissatisfied with the proud manner of Darcy. Darcy looks down on those who are in a lower social class,including Elizabeth. However, after getting to know the courage, independence and confidence of Elizabeth, he almost falls in love with her. But Elizabeth believes the lies of Wickham which causes her great prejudice to Darcy. She rejects Darcy』s propose marriage to protect her self-respect. Finally, Darcy goes away because he couldn』t tolerate Elizabeth』s sisters』 vulgar manners. He writes a long letter to explain his thoughts and love to Elizabeth. After reading it, Elizabeth feels guilty about misjudging Darcy and regrets turning him down. As time goes away, Darcy graally improves his pride and keeps helping Elizabeth』s family out from troubles. At last, Elizabeth removes the prejudice to Darcy and accepts his propose marriage.
From the film I learn that we can』t judge a man immediately by the first impression. If we are controlled by our subjective senses, it will easy cause prejudice and misunderstanding and probably influent the developments of many events. To avoid this situation, we need more communication to understand others deeply by ourselves.

「The Pursuit of Happyness」 was released on the 15th of December 2006. It is a dramatic story based on a biography of Chris Gardner』s nearly one-year struggle with homelessness. Directed by Gabrielle Muccino, the film stars Will Smith as Chris Gardner, and co-stars Jaden Smith playing Chris』 son, Christopher Jr. For Will Smith』s performance in the film, he was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actor. The 『different』 spelling of the title, 『Happyness』 is seen by Chris Gardner on the building outside the play centre is son attends, which Chris reminds the owners of the building multiple times that it is spelt with an 『I』.
The film shows us the struggles Chris Gardner has with homelessness. He is bankrupt because he invested his life savings in portable bone-density scanners, which he thought hospitals would be interested in buying, but in the end hardly any doctors wanted one, as they considered it an 『expensive luxury』. During the struggles, his wife Linda leaves to go to New York and Chris and his son are left in San Francisco with no income and living in a motel. Chris sees interest in become a stockbroker, but to become one he has to go through an internship. Meanwhile, Chris and his son are evicted because they can』t pay rent, and they are forced to go to a homeless shelter, and even one night had to sleep in the bathroom of the underground rail system. During his internship, he never once mentions his financial struggles and at one point he is asked to give one of his bosses 5 dollars for a cab, a sum that he can』t afford. After an intense six months, Chris is taken into the bosses』 office, and is offered a job as a stockbroker, the final scene shows him being in unbelief of the position he was offered and showing his happiness and gratefulness for the opportunity, Chris realises that his financial struggles are over as he now has a job with a regular income.
Christ was unfortunate, for he got a wife who was not understandable at all (though she has her own difficulties) and was in bad luck with his business. But he was very fortunate also, for he got a son who was very thoughtful and, I think, tough life experiences always make a great person. It is said that this movie is inspired by a true story, and I want to say, this movie does inspire me a lot. What impressed me most are: Christ』s wife left him because of life pressure; Christ』s love to his son and Christ』s strong belief towards life. Through these, I know that it is not easy to be a good husband and a good Papa, since in reality, only love cannot only make everything. And I also learn that one has to strongly believe in himself, no matter how difficult the situation is, but of course, hard-working is indispensable.

Despicable Me 2 is a brilliant film with a great storyline and an impressive voice cast.
I definitely wouldnt say it was better than the first Despicable Me,the first one was a lot more heartwarming,but it still is a very good sequel and has everything you want in a family film,humor for both young and older audiences.
However,the story of the movie feels very scattered and throughout I felt like they were trying to fit too much in one hour and a half. I still enjoyed it nevertheless!

This film was absolutely amazing. I have spent hours re-watching various scenes and noticing all the perfection with which they are acted and directed. Its not the violence or action sequences that make this movie so great (although they are well done...), but rather moments like where Mathilda knocks on Leons door. It would be so easy to just film the door opening, but instead we see light illuminating Natalie Portmans face, symbolizing something angelic. And the moment has so much more meaning.
I know a lot of people who have seen this film because they are action fans. Im not. But Im glad I finally found it, because its a wonderful film in so many other ways.

The film stars a panda named Po (voice of Jack Black), who is so fat he can barely get out of bed. He works for his father, Mr. Ping (James Hong) in a noodle shop, which features Ping's legendary Secret Ingredient. How Ping, apparently a stork or other billed member of the avian family, fathered a panda is a mystery, not least to Po, but then the movie is filled with a wide variety of creatures who don't much seem to notice their differences.
They live in the beautiful Valley of Peace with an ancient temple towering overhead, up zillions of steps, which the pudgy Po can barely climb. But climb them he does, dragging a noodle wagon, because all the people of the valley have gathered up there to witness the choosing of the Dragon Warrior, who will engage the dreaded Tai Lung (Ian McShane) in kung-fu combat. Five contenders have been selected, the "Furious Five": Monkey (Jackie Chan), Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Crane (David Cross). Tigress looks like she might be able to do some serious damage, but the others are less than impressive. Mantis in particular seems to weigh about an ounce, tops. All five have been trained (for nearly forever, I gather) by the wise Shifu, who with Dustin Hoffman's voice is one of the more dimensional characters in a story that doesn't give the others a lot of depth. Anyway, it's up to the temple master Oogway (Randall Duk Kim), an ancient turtle, to make the final selection, and he chooses -- yes, he chooses the hapless and pudgy Po.
The story then becomes essentially a series of action sequences, somewhat undermined by the fact that the combatants seem unable to be hurt, even if they fall from dizzying heights and crack stones open with their heads. There's an extended combat with Tai Lung on a disintegrating suspension bridge (haven't we seen that before?), hand-to-hand-to-tail combat with Po and Tai Lung, and upstaging everything, an energetic competition over a single mpling.
"Kung Fu Panda" is not one of the great recent animated films. The story is way too predictable, and truth to tell, Po himself didn't overwhelm me with his charisma. But it's elegantly drawn, the action sequences are packed with energy, and it's short enough that older viewers will be forgiving. For the kids, of course, all this stuff is much of a muchness, and here they go again.

Over 800,000 people had been killed within 100 days. Paul has a tutsi wife, in order to protect his wife, children and other tutsis; he took them to hide in the hotel Rwanda. There are many white people from all over the world lived in this hotel so the hotel is the safest place in Rwanda to hide. There are 80 UN soldiers in Rwanda but only 4 guarded in the hotel and all of them are not allowed to shot. If we say that Paul just wanted to save his wife at the beginning, after recognized that there is no one would come to help the tutsis, Paul throw himself into the breach. He bribed the hutu general by wine and gold, used out every coin of his to purchase the refugees’ lives, ten, a hundred, 2 hundreds, 3 hundreds… more and more tutsi refugees flee to the hotel wishing to survive. To them, Paul is an angel who keeps a hope for those hopeless people in the calamity. His goodness his mercy is the key to be alive.
The hotel Rwanda is a dramatically and war film, ingeniously, there was almost no lens for slaughtering; however, the threatener of death was full filling with the whole movie. One of the tutsi asked Paul,
“Why they are so truculence?”
“ Hatred? Insanity? … I don’t know.”
The event is a humanitarianism disaster and Paul needs no reason to save the lives. When the world closed its eyes, he opened his arms. Hey Higgins, an English Linguistic professor, is a typical English wealthy and defiant bachelor. He regards marriage the most boring and troublesome thing in the world. He is also a precise worker in his work as a language professor.
It is often mistakenly said that they collaborate because Higgins decides to improve Eliza's cockney accent. But in fact it is Eliza who takes the initiative, presenting herself at Hey's bachelor quarters to sign up for lessons: "I know what lessons cost as well as you do, and I'm ready to pay."
The lesson followed is a nightmare to not only Eliza but also Higgins. Higgins take this collaborates as an experiment and always a way to show his ability. He pushes Eliza day and night practicing her pronunciation. As Eliza and Higgins train together, they become accustomed to each other even though it is an abusive relationship on Higgins' part.
This film stays true to the original material, and Higgins doesn't cave in ring a soppy rewritten "happy ending." Astonished that the ungrateful
Eliza has stalked out of his home, Higgins asks, "Why can't a woman be more like a man?" Why can not? He believe man is much more justice faithfulness and tolerate than woman. With his mother’s remindful words, Higgins realizes he loves Eliza, but even in the play's famous last line he perseveres as a defiant bachelor: "Eliza? Where the devil are my slippers?" It remains an open question for us, at the final curtain, whether Eliza stays to listen to what he says next.
This story has no business with romantic in my mind. What it tells me is about change and attitude. Eliza’s father, used to be a man has nothing left to lose, is now tied by morality and status which he never cares about before. The change of his financial affairs leads to the change of his living attitude. Casting back the reason why it happens is just a joke said by Higgins, and that is really a satire, isn’t it?
Generally speaking, although three hours of the time is actually a little bit long, this film is still worth to watch, I highly recommend it.

It’s not particularly surprising to be disappointed by any puter-animated film not bearing the Pixar logo。 In fact， until Shrek， 2001’s rollicking success， I wouldn’t have even believed it could happen。 What is surprising， is that Ice Age doesn’t even ATTEMPT to reach Pixar’s Toy Story heights， apparently content to revel in its status as Monster’s， Inc。's second rate， half wit cousin。 Ice Age is yet another “extinction for kids” movie， one of many in a long line of baby dinosaurs， pterodactyl eggs， and sympathetic cavemen。 This time， it’s the ice age， and wooly mammoths roam the earth alongside primitive man。 Strangely enough， in this early world， animals can talk， and humans cannot。 But when a group of would-be-enemies discover a lost human baby， wooly mammoth (Ray Romano)， saber-toothed tiger (Dennis Leary)， and giant sloth (John Leguizamo) must work along side each other in a journey to return the child to its home。
Visually， Ice Age is perhaps the poorest bit of CGI I have ever seen。
Contrasted to the beautiful constructs of Monsters， Inc。; or even the gooey， gloppy creativity of Shrek; Ice Age is nothing but badly rendered polygons and Acme animated characters。 No hint of photo-realism here。 It’s like paring a Bugs Bunny Cartoon to The Lion King。 Actually， I suspect that is exactly what the folks at Ice Age were going for。
Ice Age is really little more than a collection of silly animal gags and
Leguizamo one liners。 Some of them are even quite funny。 If that is all that we’re going for here， then I suppose I’m all for it。 But then there are these strange attempts at gut wrenching sappiness， which fall painfully flat amidst sub-video game animation。 Frankly， I’m not even sure the CGI they use here is up to the task of displaying the kinds of emotions these people are trying to illicit from their characters。 The humans more closely resemble totem poles than they do living， breathing， creatures。 It’s laughable watching their
polygon-limited faces trying to emote in response to the story’s attempts at heartfelt， soft touches。
Thankfully， the main characters are animals， which are at least bearably rendered to slapstick fun levels。 As a result， what slapstick there is， is highly entertaining。 Sure， Ray Romano’s vocal talents aren’t particularly spectacular。 But Dennis Leary and the always-odd John Leguizamo cover for his mammoth ineptitude without hesitation。
The story itself is bland， boring， and uninspired， as is the almost laughably bad animation。 The film’s only real saving graces are some slapstick side trips into the world of an unlucky squirrel and a group of soon-to-be-extinct
melon-hoarding dodos。 Ice Age’s edy is worthy of Bugs， but unless you’re under 5， you’ll be bored with everything else。

This is a can't-miss family movie。 After all， EVERYONE seems to like inspiring family films--especially when it's based on real people。 And， not surprisingly， I had a thoroughly good time watching it--though I do remend you see it with a box of Kleenex nearby。
The film is about a young man named Michael Oher--an extremely large black teenager who has bounced from home to home in the foster care system。 Currently， he's in a new school and no one realizes that he has no place to live。 Yet in spite of having a crack-addicted mother， a father who was killed in prison and every other reason to be an angry powder keg， he's a very gentle and sad soul---who is also enormous and has amazing potential to play football。
A nosy but very nice lady (Sandra Bullock) convinces her husband (Tim McGraw) to bring Michael home。。。at least for the night。 But this one night turns into a permanent living situation and he bees an important part of the family。 However， despite this new living arrangement working out well， Michael is so far behind in school and his GPA so low that he hasn't a prayer to play football in college。 That's because although many schools are now offering him athletic scholarships， his GPA is too low to allow him to accept these offers。 So， with his new family's help， perhaps he can pull up those grades and have a future。
This film is super-inspirational and sweet--mostly because it's true。 I am sure that some poetic license was taken when making the film (I especially wonder if the little brother could be THIS precocious and adorable)， but overall they did a good job of sticking reasonably close the facts。 While I loved Sandra Bullock's performance (she's great as usual)， I was a bit surprised that she received Oscar for it--I did see a few performances in other films that year that I thought were a bit better (such as the leading young lady in "Precious")。 Also， Tim McGraw， while a lesser role in the film， did a surprisingly good job--especially as he's really known as a country singer， not an actor。 All around， a very good film and one that is meant to inspire。

The animated characters are adorable and even though they are very contemporary, and the movie takes place ring the depression, kids will be able to relate to the animated fantasy characters - since they are fantasy characters, there is no reason they can't be contemporary. Overall a nice story for kids, with some good lessons for kids re: love, loyalty, perseverance, intelligence.

Let me state my preferences up front。 I'm a big fan of the epic adventure， a category in which Braveheart， like cream， rises to the top。 There's a lot in this film that's praiseworthy -- not the least of which is its ambition。 Those viewing this picture may be easily reminded of Gettysburg， The Last of the Mohicans， Glory， and such classics as Lawrence of Arabia， El Cid， and Spartacus。 The grandeur is certainly present; nevertheless， Gibson gives us not only memorable battles， but characters of real substance。
Borrowing from masters like Sam Peckinpah and David Lean， the actor/director has crafted an exceptional cinematic tapestry in only his sophomore effort。 Most of the time， three hour movies have a few flat spots， but Braveheart is constantly on the move -- riveting from start to finish。 When the end credits began to roll， I was hard pressed to accept that nearly 170 minutes had elapsed。
The title character is William Wallace (Gibson)， a hero of Scottish history whose legend has surely outstripped fact (in its own unique way， the film acknowledges this)。 Wallace fought for Scotland's freedom in the late 13th century， wielding his broadsword and influence to defeat the forces of King Edward I (Patrick McGoohan)， the British monarch who had declared himself king of Scotland upon the former ruler's demise。
Braveheart builds slowly to its first gritty climax。 Much of the early film concentrates on Wallace's love for Murron (Catherine McCormack)。Their courtship is unhurried， yet this is all preparation。 The real meat of the story， which includes political mechanations， betrayal， and dramatic battles， is yet to e。 Patrick Henry once said， "Give me liberty， or give me death!" with A Gan， he started to enjoy the wonderful life and thank A Gan's help。 The movie is
intended to tell people that life is wonderful by this character。 Rainbow is always
after cloud。 The key point is that whether we have a good mind and an opportunity to
