蘋果的歷史
蘋果原產於歐洲和中亞及中國新疆地區。哈薩克的阿拉木圖與新疆阿力麻里有蘋果城的美譽。中國古代的林檎、柰、花紅等水果被認為是中國土生蘋果品種或與蘋果相似的水果。
蘋果在中國的栽培記錄可以追溯至西漢時期，漢武帝時，上林苑中曾栽培林檎和柰，當時多用於熏香衣裳等，亦有置於床頭當香熏或置於衣服，最初作為香囊，較少食用。但也有看法認為，林檎和沙果，曾被誤認為蘋果，真正意義上的蘋果是元朝時期從中亞地區傳入中國，當時只有在宮廷才可享用。
『貳』 蘋果的劇情介紹，及人物心理的變化
《蘋果》是一部現代都市題材的黑色幽默影片，故事講述一次偶然發生且充滿爭議的「強奸/通姦」事件，導致梁家輝和妻子金燕玲以及范冰冰和丈夫佟大為兩個貧富家庭之間爆發了一連串離奇詭異的矛盾沖突和感情錯位的戲劇性故事。
劉蘋果（范冰冰飾）和她的老公安坤（佟大為飾）都是從外地到北京的打工一族，女的在一家沐足館當「洗腳妹」，男的則是一個高空作業的洗窗工人：一份日薪較高的職業。
不料，一次，沐足館老闆林東（梁家輝飾）趁蘋果喝醉酒竟將她強奸了，而這情形恰巧被正在洗抹窗子的安坤瞧個正著，於是要討個價，賠其損失。
怎料，林東妻子（金燕玲飾）因為其不育而被老公冷落卻主動要與安坤發生性關系，理由是要讓自己老公也戴綠帽，讓安坤進行報復。
《蘋果》片名原為《迷失北京》，但審片委員會認為北京是一個有政治意味的詞，不能用。片中有一個配角的戲，是一個從農村來城市打工的小女孩，後來做了妓女，這條線被整個拿掉。審片委員會認為一個鄉下的女孩，應該很正直，怎麼能墮落呢？戲里有一段是她喝醉了，說：「北京這么大，怎麼就容不下我？」這句話都讓他們覺得不是很舒服。
原來的主要人物是四個：洗腳妹蘋果、擦玻璃的佟大為、洗腳城老闆梁家輝、老闆娘金鈴，金鈴的戲被刪得差不多沒了。人物關系變了，原來的那些輔線都沒有了，只剩范冰冰、佟大為和梁家輝他們三個人間的關系。很多輔線的人物，他其實對豐富和襯托主要角色是有很重要的作用的，現在人物關系就弱了很多。
李玉：接受這個結果，不是困難，是痛！沒有辦法，我只能堅持到現在，要不就別在中國做電影了。我要接受這種挑戰和傷痛。我只能這樣安慰自己-故事還在，我的觀點還在，如果能在國內上映，我還是希望能看到國內觀眾的反應。
我拿到第一審的意見時上就哭了。當時想，要不我就做地下導演吧，或者我就這樣出去，禁五年就五年，我還可以做點其他的事情。但是，唉，國家就像父母，這是無奈的現實。而且還有很多客觀條件，製片人的回收什麼的，我考慮了很久，覺得那就做犧牲吧。最後一共改了五十多處。
中國年輕導演都面對問題。投資的時候找不到資金，拍攝之後面對審查，審查之後就是市場。再優秀的導演都要面對，你看像賈樟柯，可能也就是吸引資金的那一步容易一點。這是現在中國的整個電影環境。

此次的《蘋果》更是聚集了兩岸三地以及日本的全明星陣容合作。談到請梁家輝出演片中的洗腳城老闆林東，李玉解釋:「我在寫林老闆的時候，就覺得是家輝。我需要的是演員的生活經歷而不是表演經歷，家輝本身就是一個生活經歷非常豐富的人，積聚了獨特的個人魅力，我相信他不僅能勝任這個角色，還會帶給觀眾很多驚喜。」

入圍第57屆柏林電影節競賽單元的《蘋果》，在送審過程中好事多磨，修改後第五次送審順利通過審查。據透露，這個版本已經在導演李玉最先完成的版本基礎上刪減了二十多分鍾。
《蘋果》被刪減的部分：梁家輝召妓的場面；暗示佟大為與金鈴發生性關系的場面；配角打工的「小妹」變為妓女，後來被嫖客殺死的整條線索；影片中引用的舊北京紀錄片和天安門升國旗的部分；北京居民樓內地面上的污水鏡頭。
范冰冰為改變以往印象，此次刻意扮丑，不僅在臉上點了很多雀斑，更在鼻翼附近增加了一顆非常顯眼的痦子。
佟大為扮演「蜘蛛人」。為了演好這個角色，他克服了高空恐懼，慢慢從3層、5層到10層、20層，最後終於能夠從北京昆泰大廈的樓頂上順繩而下，來去自如。
梁家輝希望藉此角色沖擊2008年香港金像獎，「雖然我不缺獎杯，但實在是這個角色太有意思了，不沖擊獎項有些可惜。」
范冰冰將出演洗腳城員工「劉蘋果」。導演李玉說，范冰冰早已到洗腳城體驗生活，最近一段時間，不但和洗腳妹工作在一起，每天早上還和大家一起唱《洗腳城之歌》。
日本演員三宅尚子這次在影片中出演一個北京女孩。小巧安靜的她在出場做自我介紹時，用非常標準的中文說了一句「我喜歡吃北京烤鴨」。
