劇情簡介：

幕後故事

*《哈利·波特之魔法石》（Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone）原書名為《哈利·波特和哲人的石頭》（Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone），只是在拍攝成影片時將美國版的片名改為前者。而且在拍攝時為了和片名呼應，所有與「石頭」有關的鏡頭都拍了兩套，一套給英國版用，另一套給美國版用。據說現在很多收藏家們就已經躍躍欲試地要收集英美兩個版本的DVD影碟了。
*在影片拍攝期間，由於天氣等原因造成拍攝進度被耽擱，攝制組為了趕進度還差點吃了場官司。因為英國法律規定：聘用兒童工作一周最多不能超過五個工作日。要不是劇組雇了幾個臨時演員，《哈》片可能因為糾纏官司而晚上映幾天呢。
*演員蒂姆·羅斯曾經要出演片中的斯耐普教授，但《決戰猩球》劇組同時邀請他出演猿猴將軍一角，最後他選擇了自己喜歡的導演蒂姆·波頓，放棄了《哈》中的角色。
