I definitely wouldnt say it was better than the first Despicable Me,the first one was a lot more heartwarming,but it still is a very good sequel and has everything you want in a family film,humor for both young and older audiences.
However,the story of the movie feels very scattered and throughout I felt like they were trying to fit too much in one hour and a half. I still enjoyed it nevertheless!

Its not the violence or action sequences that make this movie so great (although they are well done...), but rather moments like where Mathilda knocks on Leons door. It would be so easy to just film the door opening, but instead we see light illuminating Natalie Portmans face, symbolizing something angelic. And the moment has so much more meaning.
I know a lot of people who have seen this film because they are action fans. Im not. But Im glad I finally found it, because its a wonderful film in so many other ways.

he story is about a young princess (公主) (Hepburn) named Ann, making a goodwill (善意的) tour of Europes capitals. Waiting until after everyone in the embassy (大使館) where her party is staying has gone to sleep, she slips out a window and finds herself alone on the streets of Rome.
She is found by Joe Bradley (Peck) , a hardened (堅毅的) and somewhat cynical (憤世嫉俗的`) reporter, on his way homefroma late night card game. Not knowing who she is but seeing that she has no place to stay he takes pity on her and invites her to his apartment for the night. In a ical (滑稽的) scene, he offers her a pair of his pajamas (睡衣) and points to the couch where she can sleep. Innocent (天真的) aristocrat (貴族) that she is, she asks for a nightgown and help undressing. Bradley helps her take off her tie and then leaves the room. When he returns a few minutes later he discovers her sound asleep on the bed, leaving him the couch (沙發) .
Leaving her sleeping the next morning, Bradley shows up late for work and tries to cover himself by saying that he had an interview (采訪) with the princess. 本影片在沒有冰河時代那種有搞笑和賞心悅目也沒有那種驚奇的搞怪誇張幻想在裡面，只是很似人的故事情感的塑造了一個人物的思想和被改變到最後的為了救羅素和kevin和查爾斯的戰斗讓故事有了一個很好的體現人的性情和理想願望等。他在為了完成心愛人的願望將他們的房子放到天堂瀑布不懈努力堅強執著 一定要將這件事做完而放棄了kevin被查爾斯抓走而為了房子放棄營救，看出他心裡情緒是多麼在乎他妻子的願望不為過之後，看了妻子留給他的……而想通。之後他在回想到與羅素、kevin和狗的生活，這些讓他感受到了朋友的重要。他就馬上行動去救羅素。他就把所有房子里的東西讓自己……在有失去房子他那時的心裡和最後羅素坐在房子旁數車的色彩，說明人物已經從過去的悲傷中走了出來，這里可以體現整部片子的人物生活性情的改變，說明我們現實也許要……
